TECHNICAL PURVIEW

  

Various painting/coating, visual inspection of abrasive, grit, garnet, blasting/painting/coating by using the following measuring instruments :

• Whirling Hygrometer.
• Dew Point Calculator.
• Testex Tape, Surface Profile Gauge.
• Keantator Comparator Torch.
• Surface Profile Gauge with Disc. 
• Orifice Gauge.
• Hypodermic Needle Pressure Gauge.
• Holiday Detector.
• Wet Sponge Pin Hole Detector.
• Chloride Detector, SCM 400 salt tester.
• Dolly Test, Tooke gauge, Dry film THICKNESS GAUGE, PEEL STRENGTH GAUGE.
• MEK Solvent Cure Test, CSN Salt test, Qualitative test for ferrous salts, Solvent sensitivity test.
• Hardness Gauge & Impact Test, Magnetic pull off gauge, Electromagnetic DFT gauge, Eddy current DFT gauge, etc.

• Having knowledge for Single Coat and Three Coat applications. 
• Having Experienced in Application of GLASSFLAKE for Platform. 
• Blasting and Painting and also periodic checking of blasting profile and painting WFT & DFT. 
• On Plot Station jobs.
• Good exp in live facilities doing painting and coating application. 
• Having Exp in internal coating. 
• Good coating/painting knowledge in new station jobs, On plot and Off plot jobs. 
• Experience in Specialized shop application and Special substrates. 
• Experience in HSS Coating and HDPUF

TESTING AND INSPECTION

• Witnessing and documenting of coating/painting activities through the preparation of daily inspection Reports, through raising RFIs, inspection and documentation.  
• Coordinate blasting and painting work and ensure compliance with project specification.  
• Incoming Material inspection.  
• Interfacing with Third party Inspection Agencies, Clients & Contractors. Attending & Conducting Pre-Inspection & Pre-Manufacturing Meetings.Undertaking execution, inspection and supervision of painting Jobs as per project specifications.  
• Inspecting work in progress for conformance with the latest approved revisions of drawings and specifications and verifying that finished work meets acceptance criteria.  
• Ensure all surface preparation and application is conducted in accordance with the specified standard for that painting system according to procedures/specifications. Reviewing painting specifications, technical & safety data sheets, blasting and painting procedures. 
• Checking the validity of calibration certificates of all inspection tools and equipment prior to and during work execution.  
• Monitoring and verifying blasting and coating/painting quality issues i.e. measuring weather conditions, surface profile, paint thickness, holiday detection test to ensure compliance with relevant project specification.  
• Provide Coating and engineering expertise input for the preparation of proposals, method statements, risk assessments, job safety analysis and quality inductions to ensure the design intent is achieved without compromising HSE.
